"Promoting Hope: Potholders for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness" was created to honor of my grandmother, Genevieve Bonura. 

In the United States, Pancreatic Cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths, after lung and colon cancer.  

To date, I have raised over $10,000 for The Lustgarten Foundation, by simply making potholders, created my own "Potholders for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness" Girl Scout Badge and my potholders are featured in 50 RMHC locations.

To be apart of The Lustgarten Foundation's and PanCAN's journey. Together we can find a cure for Pancreatic Cancer, "One Potholder At a Time."

With no cure or early detection, I want to create a sense of hope, love and support for individuals battling pancreatic cancer or those who lost loved one to this deadly disease. 

I was featured in The Lustgarten Foundation's newsletter, "Progress & Promise," received my Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award and a Proclamation from Mayor Eric Adams.
